STOMAEASE

Videos

How it works:

  • Powder draws leakage away from the skin.
  • Solution gels and clumps together without sticking to skin surface.
  • Once powder has absorbed (more than twice its volume) it can be gently wiped off.
  • Skin has a chance to heal while StomaEase keeps the site dry from leakage.
  • The StomaEase™ and StomaDisc™ System
  • The patent pending StomaDisc is used to help retain the StomaEase powder underneath the external retention device of the catheter.
  • The StomaDisc™ is placed directly underneath the external retention device of the catheter and folded up to apply the StomaEase powder to the stoma area. Then the StomaDisc™ is released and forms a retention wall allowing the StomaEase powder to absorb the fluids and expand into a gel while contained inside the StomaDisc™.
  • Afterwards, the StomaDisc™ can be removed from the catheter and the StomeEase™ gel and powder can be quickly removed and rinsed for another application to the stoma.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

FAQ

How much StomaEase Powder is included in a bottle? Ingredients (1.5 oz Bottle): Contains 1.5 ounces of powder of all-natural medical grade laboratory-certified pure non-toxic substances in a Bentonite base.

How long does a bottle of StomaEase powder last? The amount needed is dependent on each person’s leakage, but a 1.5oz bottle should last the average user with moderate leakage about one month.

What are the ingredients in StomaEase powder? All natural medical grade ingredients are non-toxic and contain no animal products in a  Bentonite base.

How often do I need to re-apply StomaEase powder? StomaEase powder should be applied at least once daily. For heavy leakage, re-apply twice daily or as often as may be needed.

How long does StomaDisc last? If maintained as explained in the Instruction, a StomaDisc can last up to several months. It must be replaced when the silicone wears down such as visualizing cracks and/or deformities.

Do I still need to use split gauze or a fabric pad? In most cases, No. The use of StomaEase™ together with the StomaDisc™ should eliminate the need for gauze and fabric pads.   However, should the 6mm (1/4” thick StomaDisc™ be too thick to be comfortably placed between your catheter and abdomen, then we recommend continuing to use gauze or fabric pads and applying the StomaEase™ powder under the gauze or fabric pads. In addition, the powder can be applied over a healing cream or balm as needed if the skin is sore, and that is best done under gauze.

Can I order StomaEase and StomaDisc in the EU or Australia? Currently, StomaEase™ and StomaDisc™ are not approved for sale into the EU and Australia. We are currently working on these regulatory approvals. Please do complete your contact information form on our website and indicate your country. We will notify you by email when it is available to purchase.

Do I have to buy a StomaDisc
if I ordered StomaEase powder? No, StomaEase™ can be ordered separately from StomaDisc™ or they can both be ordered together. The StomaEase™ powder can be used on its own with gauze and fabric pads.  It is highly recommended to buy both products. This will eliminate the likelihood of stoma leakage “wicking” through the gauze and fabric pads to your clothing.
